Prayers in the pre-dawn light


In the early morning of Sunday at Lalibela, only the voice of a priest chanting and the deep sound of a traditional drum echo around the rock-hewn church. People stay outside and just pray. It is an extremely beautiful moment.

  12. Hi, Joshi, Thanks for all the encouraging comments. These were taken at a historical place in Ethiopia, called Lalibela. There are many churches carved in the rock. These buildings are situated underneath the ground.
